Good news! We'll upgrade to 9.0 and 1.5.2 as soon as possible.
We'll also try the 64-Bit Window-versions. Thank's a lot!
Ok, so for those of stuck in Microsft's privately controlled yuckverse... who are the folks I can help with the postgis 64bit build/config? Where does that project stand? Thanks for pointing me to contacts in advance.
Greg
Greg,
Glad you are willing to help on this front. Actually we would be the folks. We are going down the MingW64 route since it seemed least painful giving the tool chain that PostGIS currently is built on but haven't gotten too far I'm afraid. Most of the issue is just finding enough dedicated time to focus on it. The below link is the process we are following thus far. http://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/wiki/DevWikiWinMingW64 The best way to communicate -- and have input from rest of PostGIS development group is to join the postgis-devel group: http://postgis.refractions.net/mailman/listinfo/postgis-devel We also have 2 open tickets for this: This is the VC++ build one -- which we gave up on for now because we ran into too many road blocks: http://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/ticket/382 Second is Mingw64 build which is on our agenda to get working for PostGIS 2.0 http://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/ticket/948 Feel free to post comments, patches to either of those tickets. |
